Six universities and two private institutions under the same roof in Metarooms

As part of the project meeting of the project, whose main innovative output is the creation of a serious game designed to simulate the project with the involvement of virtual and augmented reality, we visited the so-called ‘Metarooms’ spaces created in the Spatial application solution to verify the cognitive and procedural functionality of the technological solution.

The DigiPM project responds to the results of a pilot research investigation conducted by FEK ZČU in 2021, which showed a gap in the content and forms of PM teaching, where existing teaching concepts are not able to include the complete project life cycle and do not incorporate any of the modern digital technologies that show a positive effect on the learning/knowledge acquisition process.

After a short orientation in the virtual environment, communication and project meetings already functioned in the classical mode. Immersion, the keyword for XR technologies (virtual, augmented, mixed reality) brings a high goal orientation to the user – motivation to perceive, remember information and brings high concentration.

We look forward to developing these benefits into the final product of the project, which aims to create an innovative digital platform for project management learning that will include a modular library of digitized materials such as podcasts, MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses), AV materials, case studies and serious game.
